Kastamonu University was the university with the most projects accepted nationwide in the 5th round of applications for the "University Student Clubs Cooperation and Support Program" (ÜNİDES), which is carried out by the General Directorate of Youth Services. 39 projects prepared by our university's student clubs were selected to receive support under the program.
Project applications for the 5th term of ÜNİDES, implemented to contribute to the personal and social development of young people, were accepted between September 16 and October 15, 2025.
Out of the projects prepared by the student clubs of Kastamonu University, a total of 39 projects were approved for support, including 33 local and 6 national projects. As part of the program, students will receive financial support of up to 75,000 TL for local projects and up to 125,000 TL for national projects.
Supported projects are carried out in a wide variety of fields, including education, psychology, health, nutrition and dietetics, environment and ecology, business and economics, management, finance and banking, engineering and technology, software and e-sports, design and fine arts, plastic arts, cultural and linguistic studies, folk dances and music, international relations, defense industry and technical projects, medicine and nursing, animal husbandry and wildlife, media and communication, debate and public speaking, social responsibility and volunteer work, public and legal studies, tourism and cultural heritage, STEM education and scientific awareness, and digital literacy and media ethics awareness.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, emphasized that the progress our university has made in recent years in the fields of research, project development, and entrepreneurship has been recognized nationally, stating that their goal is to make this success sustainable.
Our Rector also stated: "This success achieved by our university in the UNIDES projects is not just a quantitative indicator; it is also a strong reflection of our scientific productivity, innovative approach, and research potential. The dedicated work of our academic staff and students has made Kastamonu University one of the leading institutions in our country in terms of project production and innovation ecosystem. I would like to thank all our academics and project teams who contributed to this success ".
Our Rector also stated that they aim to generate benefits for the supported community as a whole, and thanked Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Osman Aşkın Bak for their support.
