A Presidential Decree regarding establishing a Graduate Education Institute at Kastamonu University, aimed at making graduate education more effective and sustainable, has been published in the Official Gazette. 

In line with this decision, the Institute of Science, the Institute of Social Sciences, and the Institute of Health Sciences were brought together under the roof of the Graduate Education Institute to ensure unity and efficiency in practice. 

Wishing the decision to be beneficial for our University and our province, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, included the following statements in his evaluation of the process:

"We believe that this transformation, aimed at making postgraduate education at our university more holistic and sustainable, will significantly contribute to academic efficiency." We will further enhance our research capacity, increase interdisciplinary collaborations, and provide our students with a more equipped academic environment with the newly established Graduate Education Institute." 

Our rector, at the end of his speech, thanked all the stakeholders who contributed, especially our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the Chairman of the Higher Education Council, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, for their contributions to the implementation of this structure.
