The Sufi Music Concert, organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Kastamonu University, welcomed art enthusiasts in a special program held at the Sezai Karakoç Hall of our University Central Library.
The program, organized as part of our university's 20th-anniversary events and well-received, brought the spiritual atmosphere of Sufism to the campus.
Under the direction of conductor Prof. Dr. Sıtkı Akarsu, the choir and orchestra, consisting of approximately 40 students, received great acclaim for their performance during the night. In the repertoire reflecting the depth of Sufi music, 14 different pieces that have left a mark on hearts, such as "Ben Yanarım Yane Yane," "Canım Kurban Olsun," "Tala'al Bedru Aleyna," and "Sevdim Seni Mabuduma," were performed.
The program also featured impressive pieces such as "Bülbül Kasidesi" and "Bugün Matem Günü Geldi," as well as classical hymns like "Can Ellerinden Gelmişem" and "Mestü Hayranım." This selection, performed by our students with their instruments and voices, was closely followed by the audience.
The event was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, as well as our university's academic and administrative staff, and a large number of guests.
Guests who accompanied the pieces with great interest throughout the program congratulated our students and the technical team at the end of the concert.
The event concluded after the group photo session.
