Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, visited Kyrgyz National University on April 24, 2026. During the visit, hosted by the Rector of Kyrgyz National University, Prof. Dr. Dogdurbek Çontoev, the academic and institutional cooperation opportunities between the two universities were discussed.

Rector Çontoev shared information about Kyrgyz National University's general activities and stated that the institution has successfully partnered with leading international universities. Emphasizing that cooperation with universities in Türkiye is gradually expanding, Çontoev stated that the meeting held with our University in this context holds special significance. 

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, said they visited to renew their earlier cooperation, emphasizing the importance of academic mobility, sharing experiences, the Orhun Exchange Program, and especially joint graduate work.

The meeting also evaluated topics such as the development of inter-university dialog, the enhancement of cultural and academic interaction, and the conduct of joint efforts in the field of education.

As part of the visit, a bilateral cooperation protocol was signed between Kastamonu University and Kyrgyz National University. The signed protocol aims to develop new collaborations between the two universities in the fields of education, research, and academic exchange.
