Kastamonu University signed a cooperation protocol with the Kazakh-American University (KAU) covering educational and scientific fields as part of international academic collaborations.
The protocol was signed by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, and the Rector of the Kazakh-American University, Asylbek Isakhov. At the ceremony, our university's General Coordinator of International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Öztürk Akcaoğlu was also present.
As part of the visit, a campus tour was organized for the delegation, showcasing KAU's classrooms, conference halls, and academic infrastructure units.
In the meetings, the priority areas of cooperation between the two universities were discussed. In this context, academic mobility, student and academic staff exchange programs, and potential collaborations within the Orhun Exchange Program were evaluated. Additionally, the emphasis was on increasing joint activities to support students and academics in gaining international experience.
Highlighting the importance of participation in international programs like Erasmus+ also raised the issue of supporting student and academic exchanges. It was stated that in the near future, efforts are planned to implement dual-degree programs, organize summer schools, and arrange research internships.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration and stated that he believes the protocol will contribute to the development of academic relations between the two universities and their internationalization processes.
