A delegation led by Talip Geylan, the President of Turkish Education, Teaching, and Science Services Workers' Union, visited our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, in his office on June 19, 2025.
During the visit, Turkish Education Union Deputy General Chairman Cengiz Kocakaplan, Turkish Education Union R&D Coordinator and Gazi University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Yeşil, Gazi University Department of Educational Sciences Chair Prof. Dr. Temel Çalık, Turkish Education Union Kastamonu Provincial Chairman Nedim Afacan, and our university representative Assoc. Dr. Esra Ketenoğlu Kayabaşı was also in attendance.
In the meeting, ideas were exchanged regarding possible collaborations between our University and the Turkish Education Union, as well as the expectations of educational staff.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed his satisfaction with the visit and thanked the President of the Turkish Education Union, Talip Geylan, and the accompanying delegation. He stated that universities value any efforts that contribute to developing the education community and are open to collaborations.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, General President Geylan expressed that they value our University's approach to scientific research, academic development, and student-centered projects, and emphasized that joint efforts with higher education institutions would contribute to the educational community. He thanked our Rector for their hospitality.
The visit concluded with a commemorative photo session to mark the day.
