On May 15, 2026, Oktay Demirkan, the Director of Kastamonu Sugar Factory, visited our Rector, Ahmet Hamdi Topal, in his office. 

During the visit, topics such as joint efforts that could contribute to regional development, projects aimed at enhancing university-industry collaboration, and increasing inter-institutional interaction were evaluated.

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, expressed his satisfaction with the kind visit and stated that universities are not only stakeholders in the fields of education and research but also contribute to the economic and social development of the region in which they are located.

Our Rector, noting that collaborations with industrial organizations benefit both students and the region, emphasized the importance of joint projects.

Director Oktay Demirkan stated that they value the collaborations with universities as the Kastamonu Sugar Factory, and expressed that the combination of knowledge and industry experience would provide significant benefits. Demirkan also expressed his gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi Topal, for his hospitality, and stated that they attach great importance to the joint projects that can be carried out with our University.
